Privacy Policy

SheetTimeline is designed so your project plan never leaves your computer. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what we do and do not collect.

What we collect

The public landing page records two anonymous counters so we can publish "unique users" and "sessions" totals:

• Visitor row: a randomly generated ID stored in your browser (localStorage key sheettimeline.anonId) and the timestamp of your first visit.
• Session row: the same anonymous ID, the session start timestamp, and a YYYY-MM month tag used for the "sessions this month" tile.

A new session is only recorded when there is no active session in this browser tab, or after 30 minutes of inactivity. Neither row contains anything that identifies you.

What we do NOT collect

• Your plan file never leaves your device. The .xlsx you load is parsed entirely in your browser. No filenames, task titles, dates, statuses, notes, or any other content from your plan is sent to us or to any third party.
• No advertising, no third-party analytics, no fingerprinting.
• No cookies for tracking. We use browser storage only.
• We never sell, rent, or share the anonymous counters above.

Data stored locally in your browser

The app stores your loaded plan, your edits, and your preferences in your browser's IndexedDB and localStorage, under the taskviewer.* and sheettimeline.*namespaces. This data stays on your device.

You can clear it any time by using your browser's "Clear site data" option for this site, or by opening DevTools → Application → Storage. Before clearing, export your session so your edits are safely written back into your .xlsx.
